Sampdoria Eyes Kurt Zouma as Summer Target
Kurt Zouma, the young Franco-Central African defender, has caught the attention of Sampdoria Genoa following an encouraging season with Chelsea, where he made 14 Premier League appearances. Despite limited playing time, Zouma’s potential has not gone unnoticed.
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero openly expressed his desire to sign the former Saint-Étienne player:
“In defense, we are trying to take Zouma, the Frenchman from Chelsea who we like,” he told Calciomercato.
However, a move may prove difficult. With John Terry nearing the end of his career, Chelsea may view Zouma as a vital part of their future defensive line and be reluctant to let him go. The Blues’ decision this summer could hinge on their long-term planning for the backline.
