Chelsea have reportedly been unable to reach an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt for the signing of French striker of Cameroonian descent, Hugo Ekitike.
The Blues have been working to secure the services of the forward to strengthen their squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
With just a few days to the start of the tournament, there is no agreement between Chelsea and Frankfurt for the forward.
Hugo Ekitike, 22, is under contract with Eintracht until 2029. He was sensational for the club in the 2024/25 football season.
During the campaign, he scored 15 goals and provided eight assists after making 33 appearances in the German Bundesliga.
Despite failing to secure a deal with the forward before the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Chelsea are still hopeful of signing Hugo Ekitike this summer.
The striker is said to be interested in a move away from Frankfurt this summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also monitoring the situation and will consider securing the services of the striker this summer.
