Demba Bâ has ended his goal drought in the Premier League, scoring the third goal for Chelsea in their 3-1 victory against Southampton last Sunday. This marked his first goal of the season in the league after nine months without finding the net for the Blues. Despite being the third choice behind the Torres-Eto’o pair, the Senegalese international remains confident about his future within the José Mourinho squad.

In an interview with So Foot, Bâ expressed his unwavering belief in his ability to succeed in football, emphasizing that he never doubted himself throughout his career. He acknowledged that there might be different plans (plan A and plan B), but in his mind, there is only one plan A – to succeed.

Despite his position as the third choice, Bâ is not disheartened. He conveyed his comfort with his current situation and stressed that sitting on the bench does not diminish his physical condition or self-confidence. Demba Bâ has faced various challenges, but he remains fully focused on his job – football.

The Senegalese striker also shared insights into his personal life and how he has made adjustments in line with his religion. He mentioned that he no longer frequents nightclubs due to the presence of alcohol, loud music, and other elements that go against Islamic principles. Bâ reflected on a moment in Newcastle when he resisted peer pressure to engage in activities that conflicted with his beliefs, demonstrating his commitment to his faith.
