Chelsea considering selling up to nine players to sign English-Ivorian Marc Guehi

Marc Guehi

Chelsea FC are reportedly prepared to offload as many as nine players in an effort to acquire Abidjan-born Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.

The Premier League club is keen to bolster its defensive lineup following injuries to key players Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile.

Guehi, who has 18 months left on his current contract, has emerged as a target for Chelsea as they seek reinforcements.

A previous offer from Newcastle worth £70 million was turned down last summer, indicating strong interest in the defender.

To facilitate Guehi’s transfer, Chelsea may need to generate funds by selling some of their existing squad members.

The Telegraph reports that players such as Trevoh Chalobah, Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are potential candidates for departure.

Additionally, young talents like Cesare Casadei, Carney Chukwuemeka, Harvey Vale, and Alex Matos might also be made available for transfer.

In an unexpected twist, Christopher Nkunku, who has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain, could also be on the chopping block.
