Chelsea check Como interest in Trevoh Chalobah
Trevoh Chalobah’s future remains open, with Chelsea still looking to move him on and Como now being asked whether they still want to stay in the race.
Inter had briefly shown interest in the 26-year-old defender, but the Serie A club have paused their pursuit while they focus on other targets.
Como were also in positive talks over a possible deal, yet they have reportedly stepped back rather than enter a bidding battle. That has pushed Chelsea to circle back and check whether Cesc Fabregas’ side may still be willing to act. At the same time, Como are weighing other options in defense, including former Tottenham player Davinson Sanchez.
Chalobah’s background makes him an appealing market option. He joined Chelsea at eight, came through the academy, and spent loan spells with Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, and Lorient before making his senior debut in the 2021 UEFA Super Cup, which Chelsea won on penalties. He has since developed into a player with top-flight experience and useful versatility.
For now, the situation is fluid. Chelsea want clarity, Como are undecided, and Chalobah’s next move will likely depend on which club acts first.
