Cheikhou Ndiaye: Senegal defender linked with move to FUS Rabat
Senegal centre-back Cheikhou Ndiaye, currently without a club after leaving Belgian side RFC Seraing, is being linked with a move to Moroccan outfit FUS Rabat in the Botola Pro Inwi. The 24-year-old, valued at around €200,000 as of late April, is exploring options following the expiry of his deal in Belgium and is understood to be on the radar of the Rabat club as they look to strengthen at the back.
Ndiaye departed RFC Seraing at the start of July after a season in which he featured regularly in the Belgian Challenger Pro League. He made 48 league appearances for the club, accumulating more than 3,400 minutes of game time in the competition and establishing himself as a consistent presence in their defensive line.
Born in Kaolack in January 2002, Ndiaye developed in the Generation Foot system before stepping up to the senior side and later earning a move to Seraing in August 2023. The right-footed defender, who stands at 1.80m, has experience in both Senegalese and Belgian football, giving him a profile that fits clubs seeking a player already exposed to different footballing environments.
On the international stage, Ndiaye was part of the Senegal squad that won the African Nations Championship in the 2022-23 campaign, adding a notable honour to his early career and underlining his experience in continental competition.
With Ndiaye a free agent following his July departure from Seraing, any agreement with FUS Rabat would not involve a transfer fee, and discussions are expected to focus on contract terms and his prospective role in the Moroccan club’s defensive setup.
