Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly has finally made his Major League Soccer debut, featuring for Vancouver in their 3-0 victory over Toronto after overcoming administrative delays.

The Senegalese winger, whose move from Ligue 1 during the last transfer window drew attention, had been unable to play since arriving in Canada due to work permit issues in the United States.

That situation has now been resolved, clearing the way for his first official appearance in MLS.

Sabaly started on the bench but was introduced in the 71st minute as Vancouver closed out a comfortable win.

Although he did not score, his presence added energy in the closing stages and marked the end of a frustrating wait since completing his transfer.
