Cheikh Niasse transfer: Frosinone linked with Hellas Verona midfielder

Cheikh Niasse, a Senegalese-French midfielder with Hellas Verona, has been linked with a move to Frosinone.

The proposed transfer would take the 26-year-old defensive midfielder from Verona, listed in Serie B, to Frosinone in Serie A. No agreement has been confirmed.

Niasse joined Hellas Verona on 1 July 2025 and remains under contract with the club until 30 June 2029. The midfielder is therefore tied to Verona on a long-term deal as speculation grows over a possible move within Italy.

Born in Gossas, Senegal, Niasse has represented both Senegalese and French football through his nationality. He previously won the Swiss championship twice with BSC Young Boys, in 2022-23 and 2023-24, and also lifted the Swiss Cup in 2022-23.

His earlier honours include a French Super Cup victory with Lille in the 2021-22 season. Niasse’s market value is listed at €2m, while the rumour does not include a proposed transfer fee or a clear indication of how advanced discussions may be.

For now, Niasse remains a Hellas Verona player, with his contract running until the end of June 2029.
