Cheickna Kolo Samaké has left Olympique Club de Safi to sign a two-year contract with Libyan side Al Nasr Benghazi.
The Malian forward, joint top scorer in Morocco’s Botola Pro with eight goals, was secured for a $200,000 transfer fee.
Samaké, who was also on AS FAR’s radar, expressed his excitement about the move.
Al Nasr showed great interest in me. Everything happened quickly, and I’m eager to take on this new challenge,” he told Africafoot.
The 24-year-old striker aims to help Al Nasr win the Libyan Premier League and National Cup while also competing for the league’s top scorer title.
His new club sits second in Group A, two points behind leaders Al Akhdar.
