Chaouki Zitouni: Tunisian defender joins SC Ben Arous on free transfer from AS Kasserine

Tunisian centre-back Chaouki Zitouni has joined SC Ben Arous on a free transfer from AS Kasserine, signing a deal that runs until 30 June 2027. The defender’s move has been confirmed ahead of the 2026–27 campaign, adding depth to the back line at the Tunisian club.

Zitouni arrives after a spell with AS Kasserine, whom he joined in July 2025. His switch to Ben Arous continues a career spent in Tunisian football, with the player remaining in familiar surroundings while taking on a new challenge.

The defender, who is primarily deployed at centre-back, has built up experience across several clubs in the domestic game. Before his time at Kasserine, he represented Jendouba Sport, having moved there in 2023, and previously had two separate spells with Olympique Kef either side of a stint at SC Moknine.

Zitouni has already featured in cup competition during his career, registering 90 minutes in the Tunisian Cup, and will now look to contribute that experience to Sporting Club de Ben Arous over the course of his one-year contract.

The move sees SC Ben Arous secure a Tunisian central defender on a free transfer through to the end of the 2026–27 season.
