Chandrel Massanga: Congo midfielder joins Eyupspor from Hatayspor
Congo defensive midfielder Chandrel Massanga has joined Eyupspor from Hatayspor, completing a move that takes him back into the Turkish top flight. The 26-year-old switches to the Super Lig club after spending last season with Hatayspor in Turkey’s lower divisions.
Massanga, born in Pointe-Noire and standing at 1.72m, is a right-footed holding midfielder who has already built up notable experience in Turkish football. He previously featured in the Super Lig, making 53 appearances with four goals and one assist at that level, and also played in the 1. Lig as he adapted to the domestic game.
Before arriving in Turkey, Massanga made his name in Albania with FK Partizani, where he became Albanian champion in the 2022-23 season. He collected 42 league appearances there, adding further minutes in the Kupa e Shqiperise and European qualifying rounds, including outings in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying.
Massanga’s early career took him from CS La Mancha to CARA and then AS Otoho in Congo, where he also gained experience in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup. That continental background has helped shape him into a midfielder accustomed to high-intensity competition across different leagues.
With a current estimated market value of €500,000 and a track record of over 4,000 minutes in the Super Lig alone, Massanga arrives at Eyupspor as a ready-made option for the club’s midfield base. The move from Hatayspor to Eyupspor was finalised on 29 July 2026, confirming his return to top-tier Turkish football.
