Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team put up a resolute performance on Sunday afternoon to hold Ghana’s Black Galaxies to a goalless draw in the first leg of their tie in the qualifiers for the 2025 CHAN Tournament.
The two national teams made up of home-based players locked horns at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana determined to secure victory to take an advantage into the reverse fixture.
In the first half, neither side could create a clear chance although the attacking play was not that bad.
With no goal at halftime, Ghana and Nigeria had it all to play for in the second half to try and score to secure the maximum points.
Unfortunately, the strong performance from both national teams could not produce a goal.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies led by head coach Didi Dramani must now reflect on today’s draw and come up with a plan to win the reverse fixture away from home.
That second leg encounter is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 28, in Nigeria.
