The Black Galaxies secured a 2-0 victory over Togo in an international friendly on Tuesday, December 11, as they continue their preparations for the upcoming 2024 CHAN qualifiers against Nigeria.

Asante Kotoko’s Albert Amoah put Ghana ahead early with a goal in the 3rd minute, and Yakubu Issah doubled the lead in the 27th minute, securing a comfortable win for the team at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo.

Coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani is refining his squad as they gear up for the crucial qualifier against Nigeria later this month. This match was an important part of the Black Galaxies’ build-up, as they face their West African rivals in a two-legged tie.

The first leg will take place in Ghana on Sunday, December 22, 2024, with the return leg scheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Nigeria.

In the previous CHAN qualifiers, Ghana eliminated Nigeria to secure their spot in the 2023 tournament in Algeria, triumphing in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 aggregate score.

The Black Galaxies are enjoying good preparation and will hope to overcome Nigeria at the end of the two legs.
