CHAN 2025 qualifier: Gambia vs Gabon postponed by 24 hours

CHAN 2025 qualifier: Gambia vs Gabon postponed by 24 hours

The highly anticipated CHAN 2025 qualifier between Gambia and Gabon has been postponed by 24 hours.

Originally scheduled for 28 February, the match will now take place on Saturday, 1 March 2025.

The decision follows an official request from the Gabonese Football Federation (FEGAFOOT) to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), citing major logistical challenges.

FEGAFOOT explained that the team faced significant difficulties in securing flight tickets on time for the journey to Senegal, where the fixture is set to be played.

The unforeseen delay prompted CAF to grant the postponement to ensure fairness in the competition.

Fans of both nations will have to wait an extra day for the crucial encounter, which is expected to play a pivotal role in the CHAN 2025 qualifying campaign.
