Morocco are through to the semi-final of the 2024 African Nations Championship after overcoming Tanzania with a 1-0 win in the quarter-final.
The national teams of the two clubs locked horns on Friday night in a game played at Benjamin Mkapa Nations Stadium.
On the matchday, both teams set up strong in a bid to fight for the win to advance to the next stage.
Although a number of chances were created in the first half, neither side could get on the scoresheet.
In the second half, Morocco danger man Oussama Lamliou scored in the 65th minute after he was assisted by Youssef Belammari.
While Tanzania would push for a way back into the game after going behind, the team could not equalize and suffered a narrow defeat at full time.
The win for Morocco sends the team to the semi-final where they will face off with the winner of the other semi-final match between Uganda and Senegal.
