Morocco Dominate Guinea in CHAN 2020 Friendly
As part of their preparations for CHAN 2020 in Cameroon, Morocco’s local national team secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Guinea on Tuesday, November 19, at the Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat.
The Atlas Lions wasted little time asserting their dominance. Ayoub El Kaabi opened the scoring in the 7th minute, followed quickly by Ahadad, who doubled the lead in the 11th minute. Guinea responded in the 19th minute with a penalty converted by Ousmane Camara, keeping the match competitive. Morocco sealed the win early in the second half through Nanah, who scored in the 47th minute.
The friendly provided valuable match experience for both sides ahead of the continental tournament. Morocco will continue refining their tactics, while Guinea’s squad, led by coach Lappé Bangoura, will return to Conakry on Thursday, November 21, to continue preparations.
The result will boost Morocco’s confidence as they aim to make a strong impression at CHAN 2020, showcasing the strength of local talent across the continent.
