Libya tried to respond but faced strong opposition from the Ghanaian defense. In the second half, Libya attacked more aggressively, and a change in the referee added to the drama. A penalty awarded to Libya in the 72nd minute was successfully converted by Faisal Saleh. Despite several attempts, neither team could break the deadlock, and the match ended with a 1-1 scoreline. With 4 points each, Ghana and Libya share the lead in Group C.
