The local selection of the Cameroon Lions is set to face DR Congo on Sunday in the first leg of the final qualifying round of the African Nations Championship (CHAN). However, they will be without two key players, Komguep Efala and Oyongo Bitolo.
Coton Sport’s goalkeeper, Komguep Efala, is absent from the squad due to an issue involving “incompatibility of filiation between the information contained in the passport and the Fécafoot license.” In his place, Loïc Feudjou from the same club has been called up as the replacement.
Left-sided defender Oyongo Bitolo is currently undergoing a test in Lille, a Ligue 1 club in France. As a result, coach Emmanuel Ndombe Bosso has called on several defenders from Coton Sport, including Aminou Bouba, Ambroise Oyongo-Bitolo, and Jean Jules Bapidi Fils, for the upcoming match.
In the previous qualifying round, the Lions A’ suffered a loss to the Panthers in Libreville, ultimately losing on penalties.
