Chamseddine Boubetache: Algerian forward leaves MC Algiers to become free agent

Algerian centre-forward Chamseddine Boubetache has left MC Algiers and is now a free agent after his departure from the Ligue 1 club was confirmed on 11 July 2026.

The 21-year-old, who was born in Hussein Dey and plays through the middle in attack, comes off the back of a title-winning campaign in which MC Algiers were crowned champions of Algeria in the 2025-26 season. Boubetache was part of that squad as the club secured domestic honours.

Boubetache had stepped up to the senior team at MC Algiers in 2025 after progressing from the clubs under-21 ranks. His promotion to the first team ahead of the 2025-26 season marked his transition into top-flight football, with the forward gaining experience in a title-chasing environment.

His competitive minutes at senior level have included a brief taste of continental action, with an appearance in the CAF Champions League on his record. That outing contributed to his development in a squad balancing domestic and African commitments.

With his exit from MC Algiers now completed and no new club yet announced, Boubetache is unattached as he considers the next step in his professional career.
