Manchester City have secured their second Premier League title in three years, capping off an incredible season with a 2-0 victory over West Ham on the final matchday.
Samir Nasri opened the scoring with a brilliant strike, and Vincent Kompany sealed the win with a second-half goal. The victory confirmed City’s position at the top, as they had already been helped by Liverpool’s slip-up against Crystal Palace earlier in the week.
Liverpool did their part by winning their final match 2-1 against Newcastle, but it wasn’t enough to catch City, who were already out of reach.
This marks City’s fourth league title in history, and they complete a double this season, having also won the Carling Cup. It’s been a highly successful campaign for Manuel Pellegrini‘s men, who proved they are back at the top of English football.
