In Group B, USM Alger became the first team to qualify for the semifinals after maintaining their perfect record with a 1-0 win over fellow Algerians MC Eulma. With 12 points from 4 matches, they are already through.

Meanwhile, reigning champions ES Sétif suffered a damaging 2-0 defeat in Sudan against Al-Merreikh, leaving them third in the group with 4 points and no longer in control of their fate.
