Casa Sports of Senegal experienced its first defeat over the weekend against Moghreb de Tétouan in the preliminary round of the African Champions League. The Senegalese reigning champion conceded a goal in the 20th minute, with central defender Abdoulaye Diallo scoring an own goal. Moghreb de Tétouan, participating for the first time in this continental competition, played without key players Mehdi Nemli, Houssam Eddine Essahji, and Mehd.
It’s important to note that the major African clubs, including Esperance of Tunis, TP Mazembe of DR Congo, Al Merreikh, Al Hilal of Sudan, Stade Malien, Djoiliba of Mali, and Entente de Sétif of Algeria, do not participate in this preliminary phase of the competition.
