Champions League: Hazem Emam doubtful for the match against Esperance

Zamalek will face Espérance Sportive de Tunis in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

For this crucial match, Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron could have his entire squad available. According to the Egyptian press, the only player who might be unavailable is Hazem Emam. His status will be determined today after he undergoes medical examinations.

Zamalek will approach this match with high morale after securing two victories: the African Super Cup against Espérance and the Egyptian Super Cup against their arch-rivals, Al Ahly. According to club president Mortadha Mansour, the team won every possible title last year and is aiming to lift the Champions League this year, but first they must overcome Espérance de Tunis.

Patrice Carteron, coach of Zamalek, will be able to count on a team composed of the players Mohamed Abou Jabal, Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud Hamdi Elwench, Mohamed Abdechafi, Hazem Imam, Tarek Hamed, Ferjani Sassi, Youssef Obama, Achraf Ben Charqui, Ahmed Sayed Zizou and Mustapha Mohamed.
