The second leg of the Champions League round of 16 between Al Ahly of Egypt and Moghreb Tetouan (MAT) is set to take place on May 2. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the referees for the match.
Eric Otogo-Castane from Gabon will be the center referee, and he will be assisted by his compatriots Theophile Vinga and Sylvain Mouala. Beranger Woungui will serve as the fourth official for the match.
Otogo-Castane had previously officiated the semi-final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, a match that was marred by incidents of violence following the defeat of the host nation against Ghana (0-3).
With MAT having won the first leg 1-0 thanks to Iajour’s goal, the Moroccan team will only need a draw to progress to the group stages of the competition, making this a crucial match for both sides.
