ENTENTE SETIF READY TO “FINISH THE JOB” IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL
After securing a valuable 2-2 draw in Kinshasa against AS Vita Club in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final, Entente Setif is confident ahead of the decisive second leg, to be played this Saturday in Algeria.
Speaking to buteur.com, Mohamed Benyettou expressed the team’s determination and belief:
“We put in a lot of effort during this first leg, which ultimately paid off. I don’t think anything is decided yet, even though we’re the odds-on favorite. All the players are highly motivated. We absolutely have to put in a good performance because there’s a prestigious trophy to win. This match is on our home turf, and that’s a big advantage. We can only promise one thing: they’ll see warriors on the pitch.”
The Setif camp is energized by their strong away performance and will look to capitalize on home advantage in front of their fans. Meanwhile, Florent Ibenge’s AS Vita squad arrived in Algeria on Thursday, hoping to spoil the Algerians’ party and reclaim continental glory.
Entente Setif is aiming to clinch their second CAF Champions League title, with their previous success coming in 1988.
