Champions League 2026-27: UEFA reveals provisional dates for every match

The provisional schedule for the 2026-27 Champions League has been released after the draw for the league phase produced a series of high-profile fixtures.

Paris Saint-Germain are the defending champions and have won the competition in each of the past two editions.

A total of 36 teams qualified for the league phase, with the clubs divided into four pots of nine teams. The draw was conducted electronically, with every side set to face two opponents from each pot.

Each team will play eight league-phase matches in total – four at home and four away.

Points will be accumulated across the league phase, with the eight highest-ranked teams progressing directly to the last 16.

Teams finishing between ninth and 16th will enter a play-off against sides placed from 17th to 24th, with the winners completing the line-up for the last 16.

The ninth- and 10th-placed teams will be drawn against one of the clubs finishing 23rd or 24th. The same format will apply to the remaining positions, with the play-off pairings decided by a draw.

UEFA said the confirmed dates and kick-off details for the individual matches will be announced on its website on Saturday, 29 August. The European governing body has, however, published the provisional calendar for the competition.
