Chamito: Mozambique striker joins Belenenses on season-long loan from Black Bulls

Mozambique forward Chamito has joined Portuguese side Belenenses on a season-long loan from Black Bulls. The 22-year-old centre-forward moves to the Lisbon club for the 2026-27 campaign and is under contract at Belenenses until 30 June 2027.

Chamito, born in Maputo and standing at 1.84m, arrives with experience of Portuguese football after previous spells on loan with Varzim and Academico de Viseu’s under-23 side. He plays primarily as a central striker and prefers his right foot.

The move from Mozambican club Black Bulls comes after Chamito impressed across multiple competitions in recent seasons, including domestic league action and appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup. Across league and cup fixtures, he has featured in Portugal’s Liga Portugal 2, Liga 3 and youth competitions, recording goals and minutes that underline his exposure to different levels of senior football.

During his time in Portugal, Chamito has scored in Liga 3 and the Liga 3 promotion phase, and contributed goals and assists in the Liga New Gen competition. He also featured in continental action with Black Bulls, adding further high-level experience to his profile before returning to Europe.

Chamito first joined Black Bulls in 2023 from Textil Pungue and has since alternated between the Mozambican side and loan spells in Portugal. His latest switch to Belenenses keeps him in Portuguese football for another season while remaining contracted to Black Bulls, with the loan scheduled to end in June 2027.
