Chalobah targets FA Cup glory to cap difficult Chelsea season

Trevoh Chalobah says Chelsea are determined to make the most of a tough season by finishing it with silverware as they prepare to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

The Blues have struggled for consistency this campaign, but the defender believes lifting another trophy would change the mood around the club.

“This final means a lot,” Chalobah told Chelsea’s official website, reflecting on the chance to play at Wembley again.

“We’ve been up and down at Wembley over recent years, and this one means a lot for the players and the fans. We want to win this. It’s time for us to grab it with both hands and give it our all. It has not been the season we wanted, but we have the chance to win a trophy. We know how big the FA Cup is, and to win three trophies in two years would be an achievement.”

Chalobah has already helped Chelsea win the Conference League and Club World Cup, and now views the FA Cup as a chance to round off a challenging year on a high.
