CFR Cluj show interest in Feronikeli 74 defender Jorginho Soares

Jorginho Soares, the Cape Verdean-Dutch centre-back at Feronikeli 74, has been linked with a move to Romanian club CFR Cluj.

The 27-year-old defender is the subject of reported transfer interest from the SuperLiga side, although the move has not been confirmed. Soares joined Feronikeli 74 on 20 August after leaving Montana on a free transfer and has a contract with the Kosovo club until 30 June 2027.

Soares has yet to feature for Feronikeli 74 this season, with the club having played three possible matches in the Superliga e Kosoves. He has not appeared in the starting line-up or accumulated playing minutes during the campaign.

The 1.94m defender began his senior career with ASWH after a period away from football and later played for Telstar, including a loan spell with Spanish side Terrassa FC. He moved to FC Emmen in July 2024 before joining Montana in January 2026.

Soares’ current market value is listed at €125,000, while his highest recorded value was €175,000. Any move to CFR Cluj would therefore come shortly after his arrival in Kosovo and before the expiration of his Feronikeli 74 contract.

For now, Soares remains registered with Feronikeli 74, where his deal runs through the end of June 2027.
