Cercle Brugge sign Gambia winger Abdoulie Manneh from Mjallby on loan

Cercle Brugge have welcomed Gambia winger Abdoulie Manneh, who has joined the Belgian club from Sweden’s Mjallby AIF on loan. The 21-year-old left winger completed the move on 12 August 2026, switching from the Allsvenskan to Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League.

Manneh now begins the next stage of his career in Belgium after leaving Mjallby, where he had been playing in Sweden’s top division. His arrival links two clubs competing in different European leagues and gives Cercle Brugge a player whose recognised position is on the left side of attack.

The transfer is a loan move, although no further terms of the agreement have been provided. Manneh’s temporary switch means his immediate destination is Cercle Brugge, with the Belgian club taking him from Mjallby for the period covered by the deal.

Born in The Gambia, Manneh is 21 years old and joins the Belgian side at an early stage of his senior career. His nationality and age distinguish him among Cercle Brugge’s new arrivals, while his role as a left winger identifies the position in which he is expected to operate.

The move also takes Manneh into a new domestic football environment. He leaves Sweden’s Allsvenskan for the Jupiler Pro League, giving him experience of a second European league through his transfer to Cercle Brugge. The change in league is the central step in his move from Mjallby.

Manneh’s listed market value is €3m, but the transfer has been recorded as a loan rather than a permanent deal. No purchase fee has been disclosed for the move, so the agreement is defined by its temporary transfer status.

Cercle Brugge have therefore secured the services of a Gambian left winger from Mjallby, with Manneh joining the club after the completed transfer on 12 August 2026.
