Angers have strengthened their attacking options by signing Central African striker Goduine Koyalipou on loan from RC Lens, just days before the close of the winter transfer window.
The Ligue 1 club announced the move to bolster their frontline and provide cover for young forward Sidiki Chérif. Details regarding a potential purchase option were not disclosed.
Koyalipou, 25, spent the first half of the season on loan at Spanish side Levante, where he scored twice in 13 appearances.
Following a mixed spell in La Liga, he was recalled to Lens this winter and is now set to continue his campaign in Maine-et-Loire.
The striker’s arrival is intended to add depth to Angers’ attack as they navigate a challenging Ligue 1 season.
Known for his pace and technical ability, Koyalipou will aim to regain confidence and form under the guidance of the SCO Angers coaching staff.
For Angers, the loan deal represents a strategic move to strengthen their forward line without committing to a permanent transfer, allowing the club to adapt quickly during a busy transfer window.
Fans will be watching closely to see how Koyalipou integrates with the squad and how he combines with Chérif and other attacking players.
The move underscores the pressure on Ligue 1 clubs to reinforce squads late in the window, particularly in the attacking department, where injuries or lack of form can significantly impact results.

Angers now hope Koyalipou’s experience in France and Spain will translate into immediate contributions on the pitch.
As the season progresses, the SCO Angers squad will look to Koyalipou for both goals and attacking dynamism, with the striker given an opportunity to revive his career following a difficult first half of the season abroad.
