The Central African Republic (CAR) has selected Abidjan, Ivory Coast, as the venue for their first leg of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Cameroon. The match is scheduled for December 22.

The CAR’s decision to hold the game in Abidjan adds another high-profile fixture to Ivory Coast’s growing list of hosted matches as part of the second round of the CHAN 2025 qualifying campaign.

The return leg of the encounter is expected to take place in Cameroon at the Kouekong Stadium in the country’s West region on December 28, unless any unforeseen changes arise.

The Indomitable Lions, who are preparing for the crucial match, will aim to secure a solid result in the first leg, with the home advantage being crucial for the Central African Republic’s aspirations in this important regional competition.

Both teams will be hoping to make significant strides toward qualification for the 2025 CHAN tournament, which will bring together top African national teams featuring locally-based players.

This doubleheader promises to be a tense and competitive series, with both sides eager to secure a spot in the final tournament.
