The Central African Republic national team will commence preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a training camp in Morocco, starting on 9 March 2025.
The squad will be under the guidance of Éloge Enza-Yamissi, who was appointed by the Central African Football Federation (FCF) to lead the team.
However, Rigobert Song, recently designated as head coach by the Ministry of Sports, will not be involved in the camp due to an ongoing dispute between the ministry and the federation regarding his appointment.
Song’s absence comes amid tensions between the two bodies, as the federation has yet to formally endorse his nomination.
The conflict has left the former Cameroon international on the sidelines as the team prepares for two crucial qualifying fixtures.
The Central African Republic will face Madagascar on 19 March before taking on Mali on 24 March.
Both matches are set to take place in Casablanca, Morocco, due to the lack of a FIFA-approved stadium in Bangui.
The team will look to put the off-field distractions behind them as they aim to secure vital points in their bid to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
