Belgian top-flight newcomers KV Kortrijk have strengthened their attacking options ahead of the 2026/27 season with the signing of Central African Republic international Goduine Koyalipou from French side RC Lens.

The 26-year-old striker joins the Jupiler Pro League club on a season-long loan, with the agreement including an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the campaign.

The move offers the striker a fresh opportunity to showcase his qualities with regular first-team football while helping the Belgian club prepare for life back in the top division.

Having secured promotion to the Jupiler Pro League, Kortrijk have been active in the transfer market as they seek to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level of Belgian football. The addition of Koyalipou is viewed as an important piece of that strategy, with the club hoping his experience and goalscoring ability will strengthen their attack.

The Central African forward arrives with valuable experience gained in French football and will be expected to play a key role as Kortrijk aim to establish themselves among Belgium’s elite clubs during the upcoming campaign.

Under the terms of the agreement, Koyalipou will spend the entire 2026/27 season with Kortrijk. Should he impress the club’s technical staff and management with his performances, the Belgian side will have the option to activate a permanent transfer, allowing him to remain beyond the loan spell.

That clause gives Kortrijk the flexibility to assess the striker over the course of the season before making a long-term commitment, while also offering Koyalipou the opportunity to secure a permanent move if he adapts successfully to Belgian football.

For RC Lens, the loan is expected to provide the forward with consistent playing time and the chance to continue his development in a competitive European league. Regular minutes could prove beneficial for both the player and the French club, particularly if he returns having enhanced his value through strong performances.

Koyalipou will now be eager to settle quickly into his new surroundings and make an immediate impact as Kortrijk prepare for the challenges of the new campaign. His physical presence, attacking instincts and experience are expected to provide the newly promoted side with an added dimension in the final third.

The move also represents another important milestone for the Central African Republic international, who will have the chance to test himself in a new league while continuing to represent his country at international level.

With preseason preparations already underway, Koyalipou is expected to join his new teammates immediately as KV Kortrijk intensify their build-up to the 2026/27 Jupiler Pro League season, where the club will be hoping their latest signing can help secure survival and potentially establish himself as one of the league’s standout forwards.
