After a delay, Bruce Abdoulaye has officially signed his contract with the Central African Football Federation (FCF) and will take charge of the national team. The former Congolese international arrived in Bangui the day before and finalized his two-year deal on Thursday, with his primary mission being to guide the Wild Beasts to qualification for the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cameroon.
Abdoulaye brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to his new role. During his career, he notably featured for Clermont Foot and Bourg-Péronnas, among other clubs, before retiring in 2017. Following his retirement, he pursued coaching qualifications, gaining valuable experience in French football. He held positions at Louhans-Cuiseaux in National 3 and later managed the reserve team of Villefranche-sur-Saône in Régional 2, developing his tactical acumen and leadership skills.
The Central African Football Federation has entrusted Abdoulaye with the task of preparing and leading the national team on a competitive stage, aiming to secure a spot at CHAN 2020. His arrival marks a new chapter for the Wild Beasts, who will look to benefit from his expertise both on and off the pitch as they aim for continental success.
