Celtic linked with Frosinone winger Fares Ghedjemis

Algerian-French winger Fares Ghedjemis has been linked with a move from Frosinone to Celtic. The 23-year-old plays on the right wing and has been with the Italian club since January 2024.

Ghedjemis is valued at €7.5m and has a contract with Frosinone until 30 June 2028, meaning any potential move would involve a transfer fee rather than a free transfer. No fee has been reported in connection with the link to Celtic.

The left-footed winger joined Frosinone from French club FC Rouen for €300,000. Since moving to Italy, he has made 58 Serie B appearances, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists.

Ghedjemis’ senior career has also included spells with Rouen, Vannes and Evreux FC 27, after beginning his development with Le Havre B and Troyes’ under-19 side. His record in France includes seven goals and nine assists in 29 National 1 appearances.

The reported interest comes as Celtic are linked with a player whose current valuation is significantly higher than the fee Frosinone paid for him two years ago. Ghedjemis has also made six Serie A appearances and played twice in the Italy Cup, although he is yet to score in either competition.

The rumour remains unconfirmed, with Ghedjemis contracted to Frosinone through the end of June 2028.
