Carney Chukwuemeka is reportedly on the verge of a loan move to Borussia Dortmund as Chelsea prepares to send the midfielder to the Bundesliga club.
According to trusted source The Athletic (via @AroooBVB), the deal is set to be purely a loan, with no obligation or purchase option included.
This season, Chukwuemeka has struggled for regular game time at Chelsea, making only five appearances and accumulating just 130 minutes of play. His time at Stamford Bridge has been limited since his permanent transfer from Aston Villa in August 2022, following a successful medical and agreement on personal terms.
Chukwuemeka’s first senior goal for Chelsea came in a 3–1 loss to West Ham United on 20 August 2023. However, a knee injury in the same match led to a substitution, further limiting his chances in the squad.
Now, with Dortmund showing interest, the young talent could look to reignite his career with a fresh challenge in Germany.
