AmaZulu, Lamontville Golden Arrows, Siwelele FC and Sekhukhune United have booked their places in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Carling Knockout after winning their round-of-16 ties.
AmaZulu advanced with a narrow 1-0 victory away to Kruger United. Arthur Zwane’s side entered the match as favourites, having established themselves among the top three in the Premiership table.
Hendrick Ekstein scored the only goal of the game as AmaZulu produced a disciplined away performance to overcome determined opponents and secure their place in the last eight.
Lamontville Golden Arrows delivered the most emphatic result of the weekend, beating Chippa United 4-0 at King Zwelithini Stadium.
Sede Dion and Sabelo Sithole struck in the first half to give Abafana Bes’thende a commanding advantage. Nhlanhla Zwane and Jerome Karelse added further goals after the interval, completing a difficult afternoon for the Chilli Boys.
There was little to separate Polokwane City and Siwelele FC during a tense contest at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The teams remained level at 0-0 after 120 minutes, with both defences maintaining their shape throughout the match. Siwelele held their nerve in the resulting shootout, winning 4-3 on penalties to reach the quarter-finals.
Sekhukhune United also progressed after defeating Richards Bay 3-1.
The opening 45 minutes ended goalless, but Sekhukhune took control after the break. Babina Noko scored three goals in an impressive second-half spell, while Richards Bay managed only a single response.
Sekhukhune then protected their two-goal advantage to complete a convincing victory and move into the next round.
