Candas Fiogbé Signs for Athens Kallithea

Benin international Candas Fiogbé has completed a permanent move to Athens Kallithea FC after ending his association with Atalanta Bergamo, opening a new chapter in his career ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The striker leaves the Italian club after reaching an amicable agreement to terminate his stay in Bergamo, where he found opportunities limited by strong competition for places.

His move to Greece follows a season in which he rebuilt his confidence and demonstrated his goalscoring ability.

Fiogbé spent the previous campaign on loan at PAS Giannina FC in an effort to secure regular playing time.

Although injuries interrupted parts of his season, the loan spell ultimately proved to be a positive step in his development.

The Benin international finished the campaign with seven goals, a return that highlighted his recovery in form after a challenging period in Italy.

His performances in Greece helped re-establish him as an attacking threat and paved the way for a permanent move.

After returning to Atalanta at the end of his loan spell, Fiogbé quickly learned that he was no longer part of the club’s plans.

Discussions between the player and the Italian side resulted in a mutual decision to end their partnership, allowing him to seek a fresh opportunity elsewhere.

Athens Kallithea have now secured the striker’s services on a permanent basis as they prepare for the new season.

The Greek club will look to strengthen its attacking options with the arrival of the Benin international, who brings experience from both Italian and Greek football.

The move also gives Fiogbé the chance to continue his career in a league where he has already shown he can make an impact despite previous injury setbacks.

Athens Kallithea finished fifth in the 2025/26 Super League 2 season and will hope Fiogbé’s arrival adds greater firepower to the squad as preparations continue for the upcoming campaign.

According to Transfermarkt, the player’s current market value is estimated at €200,000, making him a notable addition as Athens Kallithea reshape their squad for the 2026/27 season.
