Tunisia’s under-20 national team took a significant step towards the next round of the African Cup, Senegal 2015. Abdelhay Ben Soltane’s side secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Mauritania on Saturday at El Menzah Stadium in the first leg of the qualifiers.
After a goalless first half, Tunisia’s young squad displayed their prowess in the second half, scoring three goals to seal the win. Chiheb Jebali found the net in the 53rd minute, followed by Firas Belarbi in the 72nd minute, and Mehdi Ouedherfi in the 84th minute.
The return leg is scheduled for the upcoming weekend, where Tunisia will aim to maintain their advantage and secure their spot in the next round.
