Togo Junior National Team Prepares for Crucial AFCON Qualifiers with Egypt Friendlies
The Togolese junior national team is intensifying preparations ahead of the decisive third round of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Senegal. Under the guidance of coach Adam Fazazi, the Junior Hawks are scheduled for a training and friendly tour in Egypt in early August.
As part of their buildup, Togo’s young squad will face the Egyptian junior team in two friendly matches on August 1 and August 5, 2014. These games are seen as vital opportunities to sharpen their tactics and cohesion ahead of the qualifiers.
Togo advanced to this stage after a notable victory over Morocco in the second round and will next confront Mali on August 17. Coach Fazazi, who began training sessions on July 15, is committed to maintaining the squad’s stability following their impressive turnaround win against the Lionceaux in Rabat on May 24.
