The Under-17 African Cup of Nations, initially slated to be held from May 2 to 16, 2015, has been rescheduled to take place from February 15 to March 1. The decision was made by the CAF Executive Committee during a meeting held on April 29 and 30 in Cairo, Egypt.
This decision was motivated by the aim to provide more favorable atmospheric conditions for the young players competing in the tournament, as stated on the website of the continental body.
Niger will serve as the host nation for the competition, with the first round of qualifiers scheduled to commence in June.
