Despite Cameroon’s absence from the CAN 2013, coach Jean-Paul Akono and his assistants are present in South Africa to observe the performance of other teams, particularly DR Congo and Togo. These teams will be potential opponents for Cameroon in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Akono mentioned that the tournament provides an opportunity to assess the potential of their rivals.
