CAN 2015 Qualifiers: Togo Holds First Training Session with Adebayor and Dossevi

Togo’s Hawks Ready for CAN 2015 Qualifiers With Full Squad in Training

The Togolese national team, the Hawks, held their first training session on Tuesday morning at Lomé Municipal Stadium, showing full readiness under coach Tchakala Tchanilé.

Captain Emmanuel Adebayor led the group, putting to rest any doubts about his participation. Alongside him, Tottenham goalkeeper Kossi Agassa and the Ayité brothers—Floyd and Jonathan—returned to national duty after their absence since the 2013 African Cup of Nations.

Other key players included Alaixys Romao, Serge Gakpé, and Serge Akakpo, though Akakpo’s participation is uncertain due to muscle discomfort. Veterans Vincent Bossou, Komlan Amewou, and Dove Wome also took part.

The highlight of the session was Olympiakos midfielder Matthieu Dossevi, who donned the Hawks’ yellow jersey for the first time in training, marking a fresh addition to the squad.

The 23-man squad was nearly complete, with only Sadat Ouro-Akoriko, Gafar Mamah, and Prince Ségbéfia absent due to travel delays. The trio is expected to join the team later on Tuesday.

Togo will kick off their 2015 CAN qualifiers with a match against Guinea in Casablanca on Friday, followed by a home game against Ghana five days later in Lomé.
