Senegal Lions Face Botswana Zebras in Crucial Group G Clash
This evening at 5 p.m. GMT, Senegal will visit Botswana’s Zebras in Gaborone for their second match in Group G of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Senegal enters the game on the back of a strong 2-0 home victory over Egypt, thanks to early goals from Mame Birame Diouf and Sadio Mané. Botswana, meanwhile, suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Tunisia after initially taking the lead through their star striker Mogorossi.
For Senegal, this match is about confirming their winning start, while Botswana aims to bounce back strongly in front of their home fans. Although Senegal’s team has been considered “weak” by some, the Lions remain cautious and respectful of the challenge posed by Botswana, especially on their home ground.
Despite the long journey from Dakar and the tough African away conditions, Senegal’s international stars are expected to play a key role in securing another important result.
