Guinea Coach Michel Dussuyer Targets Togo’s Weaknesses Ahead of Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier
Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer is strategizing to overcome Togo as his team prepares for the first leg of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers. Speaking at a press conference at the Féguifoot headquarters, the French manager revealed his plans to exploit Togo’s vulnerabilities while leveraging the strengths of his own squad.
“This Togo team will be difficult for us to handle,” Dussuyer said. “Playing on neutral ground changes the dynamics, especially for Togo. Normally, the home crowd support adds pressure and energy, but here we have to adapt our approach. We know the core of their team is built around Romao and Adebayor, who are both influential. However, Togo also have other dangerous, technical, and powerful attackers. Our challenge will be to contain their attacking line while creating problems for them offensively.”
The match, originally scheduled to take place in Guinea, has been postponed and relocated due to the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the region. It will now be played at the Mohamed VI Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, kicking off at 7:00 PM UTC.
Dussuyer’s squad was announced earlier this week and includes a blend of experienced players and emerging talent, as Guinea aims to secure a strong start in their qualifying campaign.
