Comoros Held to Draw by Kenya in Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier
In their return leg of the Africa Cup of Nations 2015 qualifiers, Comoros managed only a 1-1 draw against Kenya, unable to overturn their 1-0 first-leg deficit suffered in Nairobi.
The match, played on home soil, saw Comoros take the lead shortly after halftime thanks to a direct free-kick from Timbe in the 58th minute. However, Kenya responded quickly to equalize, and the score remained 1-1 until the final whistle.
Tensions flared during the match, with Kenya’s coach, Adel Amrouche, being sent off for protesting a decision.
This campaign marks only the second time Abdallah Kassim and the Comoros national team have competed in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, still searching for their first qualification.
