AFCON 2015 Qualifiers – Leekens Warns Senegal: “Another Match Awaits in Monastir”
Georges Leekens, the Belgian head coach of Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles, expressed satisfaction with his team’s draw against Senegal in Dakar, calling it a “positive result”. He emphasized, however, that the real battle is yet to come in the return leg on Wednesday in Monastir.
🎙️ Leekens Reflects on the Dakar Draw:
“We came here to get a positive draw, and we got it. It was a difficult match against a very good Senegalese team—one of the best in Africa, especially evident in the first 15 minutes.”
The Tunisian coach acknowledged his team was under significant pressure during the first half, which forced them to defend more than planned. Still, he praised their fighting spirit and mental resilience.

“There is another match waiting for them in Monastir. We will prepare for it thoroughly.”
