Gabon secured a crucial 2-0 win over Burkina Faso on Saturday in the third round of qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to be held in Morocco. The victory came thanks to a brilliant brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who continues to lead the Panthers with confidence and efficiency.
The result puts Gabon in a strong position at the top of Group C, with 7 points, ahead of Burkina Faso, who remain on 6 points. The match between Angola and Lesotho ended in a goalless draw, allowing Gabon to take sole control of the group standings.
