Due to security concerns in Bangui, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided that the Central African Republic vs. Guinea-Bissau Africa Cup of Nations qualifier for Morocco 2015 will be played in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, instead.
Mamadou Octave Adiallo, president of the competition committee of the Central African Football Federation, confirmed the move, emphasizing that player and official safety is the top priority. To reduce logistical challenges, the CAR team will regroup directly in Brazzaville, including international players arriving from abroad.
He also expressed hope that peace would soon return to the Central African Republic so future home matches can be played in Bangui.
